Nyomi V3 and the ChatGPT App Store

Building a clearer conversational interface

On May 25, 2026, we introduced Nyomi V3 and our work for the ChatGPT App Store. I approached this release as a developer working on a new interface to Nova Wallet data and actions. A conversational product can be useful when it reduces the effort required to ask a precise question, but it also has to stay grounded in what the wallet actually knows.

Nyomi V3 focused on clearer responses, better context, and a more deliberate connection to the Nova product. We wanted a user to ask about wallet activity or available information without learning a new command system. At the same time, the interface needed boundaries. Nyomi should explain what it found, distinguish information from action, and avoid presenting uncertain output as a confirmed wallet state.

Preparing for the ChatGPT App Store made those requirements more important. People could encounter Nyomi outside the main Nova Wallet interface, so each response had to carry enough context to stand on its own. We refined how the product described wallet data, how it returned users to Nova when direct wallet control was appropriate, and how it handled requests that needed more information.

This release improved the wallet by giving users another way to understand what was happening without replacing the controls that protect them. Nyomi V3 was not designed to make decisions for the user. It was designed to help the user reach a decision with clearer information. That principle shaped the integration and remains central to how we think about AI inside a crypto wallet.
