Launching Nova V3
What we rebuilt for the Nova V3 launch and why the new wallet foundation mattered.
A release built around a stronger foundation
On June 15, 2026, we launched Nova V3. From inside the team, the release felt less like a visual update and more like the point where several months of systems work became one product. We had rebuilt important parts of the Nova Wallet foundation so new capabilities could share the same data, interaction patterns, and account context.
V3 brought together the work behind our API, data engine, Bitcoin support, and expanding wallet tools. The priority was coherence. A feature can be technically impressive and still make a crypto wallet harder to use if it introduces a different vocabulary or a separate model for approvals. We reviewed the main flows with that problem in mind and kept the user focused on the asset, account, action, and result.
The launch also changed how we could develop. Shared data models reduced repeated work across screens. Clearer product boundaries made it easier to add new information without crowding core wallet actions. The iOS experience benefited first, but the architecture was designed to support a broader Nova product, including the Android work we announced later.
What mattered to me as a developer was that V3 made the wallet easier to extend without making it feel assembled from unrelated modules. Nova Wallet still had to be recognizable as a Solana wallet, while supporting Bitcoin, trading data, and future account tools. V3 gave us the base to do that with more consistency. The launch was a product milestone, but the durable result was a system we could continue to improve.
